Todai-ji temple in Nara

Todai-ji in Nara is home to one of the largest wooden buildings in the world, and inside sits a giant bronze Buddha. Look at the people at the base of the steps to get a sense of the scale. Even on an overcast day, standing in front of it feels humbling.
